Alvina VB for Mary Lynne Loftus
Summer, oh how I love you so!
Long walks on the beach, to and fro,
And colourful varieties of sailboats to row.
Wonderful happiness is all you know.
Smiling as the sun goes down,
Shopping all over town.
Enjoying lunch at a local café,
Eating sweets in a delightful array.
Relaxation, rejuvenation, no troubles whatsoever,
All that’s left is exciting and hopeful endeavours.
No time to worry, doubt or fear,
Just cherish moonlight walks on the pier.
Turquoise waves amaze me all day,
As do friendly people at bay.
Travel and explore as much as you’d like,
Maybe even take a mountain hike.
Anything you’d like, you’ve got plenty of time,
A nature trail, jog, walk or climb.
Maybe a voyage out to the sea,
Or botanical gardens, with flowers plenty.
The choices are endless, I feel so free,
Admiring the beautiful peach blossom tree.
And birds roaming from place to place,
Little children running race after race.
Summer is a golden seashell,
It puts you under a happy spell.
Making you smile all the time,
How magical, enchanting and simply sublime.
