My Trip to Seven Countries (5): Slovenia – Bosnia – Croatia 2

Lani – Kona, Hawaii

September 15 2013: it’s Sunday, and I plan on going to church.

The mass starts at 10:00am, but because the church isn’t far from my friend’s place we walked ½ hour before it started. I enjoyed seeing the neighborhood and it was an easy walk.

This morning was a bit cold, so I had to cover my neck.

The church was beautiful, but what really amazed me was that it was full; children, young people and old people too.

They were all smartly dressed, which is very different than the people in Kona or America in general. I don’t know if it’s because that is the European style, or just they are different!

We stood out because we’re Asian. All of the other people were locals.

They have a marvelous children’s choir which performed. They were so, was like voices from heaven.

After mass, I took many pictures, enjoy!

After we left the church, we walked through the alleys. It’s too bad all the stores were closed because it was Sunday. My friend showed me, the meeting hall for locals, bakery, shoes store, café, restaurant. And we ended up visiting a museum that had exhibits of local history, and also sewing machines.

We only visited the free part of the museum. The weather was so gorgeous, warm sunny day, love it!

This pictures were taken inside of the sewing machine museum.

I bet some of you recognized these machines, or perhaps even your family owned one of them.

To me, I am only familiar with brand name Singer, I think that is German made. My mom owned that brand.

More pictures from the adjacent exhibit, about the local history.
