End of My Trip – Paris (3)

Lani – Kona, Hawaii

After finishing the Eiffel tower tour, I went back to the travel agency and waited for Clara. She showed up and we walked around Paris in the evening. The city was lit up. There were a lot of tourists everywhere doing the same thing as us. We stopped at her daughter’s shoe boutique but the store was already closed.

I also stopped at a souvenir store, to get some souvenirs.

We passed by the famous Moulin Rouge theatre, and took some pictures

We took metro /subway to go home. It was confusing for me because we had to know which station, which métro and the route.

September 29 2014 : Today was my 2nd group tour and we went to Versailles palace. We had 8 people in our group. A family from Denmark, a couple from America and myself. They put us in a minivan. The driver was a young guy, he was also our guide.

Before we left the travel agency, the driver gave each of us a pass to see Versailles.

The ride was about 1 hour to get to Versailles, but the driver never stopped talking the whole way. He was talking about the history and about the places. He liked making jokes which made us laugh. He spoke English with a thick French accent.

Finally we arrived at the Versailles palace. The car parked about 1 block from the palace. The driver told us, we would meet again at the gate at about 4:30pm.

Our group divided into two, I was with the American couple, and the other was the Danish family.

Versailles palace is a worthwhile palace to visit, it was so gigantic! I don’t know how to say it in words, the best thing is to visit there yourself.

Before we could come inside, we had to pass through a security check. After that, we picked up an audio tape device so we could listen to the history of every room. The audio tour was recorded in many different languages and was free to all visitors.

I hope these pictures can give you some idea of what we saw.
