I’ve been experiencing what is so called “blogger’s block.” I haven’t written anything yet for more than two weeks – or nearly a month. I had several things in my mind, and have written as drafts for some ideas. But still, I haven’t published anything yet.
I felt like I wanted to be lazy; doing nothing instead of being productive. I still read though. The two books I’ve been working on are “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac, and “Wind/Pinball” by Haruki Murakami. Kerouac’s done more than half of the book, and Murakami’s done with “Wind.” For the time being of my lazy period, I’ve been enjoying swimming for at least two times a week. It’s been a good exercise, and I fall in love with this sport. In addition, I’ve also enjoyed practicing “a form of” ancient martial art which is very fun to do, but pretty hard. Then, stop by at the night market with my exercise buddy to chill out with tons of fresh vegetables and fruits. This is how I usually spend my evening.
Although I found out myself to become very “lazy”, I also enjoyed my time. Ah, what’s better more than that? Life is to enjoy, no? And I’m enjoying my life. Between my “lazy time” and blogger’s block, I was glad I had time to visit a friend in Bandung and did a little hike & caves visits at Tahura Djuanda in Bandung. It was a great hike though the heat was unbearable. We walked around 10 km to go up and down at the Tahura, and another 3 Km from Dago to the park. It was not that bad, but I felt like dragging my feet on the way to the hotel. Bandung was great. Meeting friends were more than awesome. So, these friends and I used to spend some times together to make trip during our time in the US – though we lived in different cities. On my way back to Surabaya, I stopped by in Jakarta to get a package from New York, and met some friends too.
Life’s good, isn’t it? So, I did not feel so guilty about being lazy because I really really had a great time.
Maybe, it’s time to buckle up, and get back on the saddle again.
